In 1974 OPTIMA began to import and distribute in the Greek market the first products: German canned meat under the brand name Kaiser and our main dairy products range under Adoro brand.
In 1978 OPTIMA is relocating to new head offices at Sygrou Avenue in Athens. After a year, company becomes the exclusive agent-distributor of Irish Dairy Board products for Greece. Brand name Kerrygold was completely unknown back then. Nowadays, Kerrygold is in terms of awareness the highest-ranking cheese brand in Greece!
In 1982 OPTIMA created the first sales branches: Thessaloniki in Northern Greece and Heraklion in Crete island.
In 1983 OPTIMA moves to new premises in Metamorfosis-Attica, where the head offices and the central warehouses are situated. OPTIMA LTD becomes OPTIMA SA.
In 1984 Northern Greece is further supported by a major branch of OPTIMA, which is based in Thessaloniki and apart from the already existing sales office, it also operates as a distribution centre.
In 1984, via a 12month continuous TV advertising campaign, Greece can finally pronounce the name of "this new cheese from Ireland": Kerrygold is the first cheese brand that is advertised in T.V. in Greece.
In 1994 OPTIMA SA becomes the exclusive distributor of EPIROS products in the Greek market.
In 2001 OPTIMA SA acquires its third distribution centre, located in Arta and covering the needs of Western Greece.
In 2008 (May) OPTIMA's distribution centre is relocated from Metamorfosis-Attica to Inofita Viotias, in a super modern place of about 4.000m2.
